Jon Taylor

Jon Taylor has over 30 years of credits as a re-recording mixer. His work has awarded him a BAFTA, ACCA, Vulcain Prize, two CAS awards, an OFTA, and two Emmys, in addition to four Oscar nominations. He has been fortunate to enjoy a long career in Hollywood, working with top level clients and premiere partners at major locations, primarily Universal Studios. Particularly, his work with Alejandro González Iñárritu has profoundly influenced Jon’s understanding of sound and of film in general. 

Jon has mixed on a Harrison console since he started in the industry, although he’s recently incorporated the Avid S6 into his workflow. Jon also spends his time educating students on what it takes to deliver a great mix, in addition to helping with projects by upcoming talents. When he’s not mixing or talking about mixing, Jon is a machining hobbyist and welder that enjoys making his own tools, parts, and structures.
